"The Crown" is currently streaming its first season on Netflix but a new season is in the works. Thankfully, a new actor is going to be in the series and he will definitely be instrumental on how the entire season will pan out. What most of the fans regret, however, is the fact that Michael C. Hall is joining the cast and if John Lithgow retains his character in Season 2, a mini-"Dexter" reunion can be expected.

"The Crown" Season 2 will be getting the services of Michael C. Hall who played the role of a troubled serial killer with a conscience in Showtime's hit series, "Dexter," for the Netflix series, as reported by IBTimes.

Deadline also reports that Hall will be playing the US president John F. Kennedy and "Quarry" actress Jodi Balfour will be the First Lady, Jackie, in the said series. The power couple will be part of the upcoming season of "The Crown" which will be exploring the 1960's reign of Queen Elizabeth II, played by Claire Foy.

Charming and a natural leader, Hall will stay true to John F. Kennedy's character who is known to be very comfortable with the crowd. JFK is also popular for being a charismatic and talented public speaker but hates sharing the spotlight, especially his wife. Infidelities plagues his term, which he did as revenge to his wife. Under his mask and behind closed doors, anger and manipulation hold his being due to jealousy. Meanwhile, Jackie Kennedy in "The Crown" Season 2 will be the President's asset as she is a candid and classy First Lady. Timid and shy, she does not want being in the spotlight - even with her glam and confidence.

"The Crown" Season 2 will also have handsome "Downtown Abbey" actor Matthew Goode who will be playing the husband of Princess Margaret, Tony Armstrong-Jones. Winning the best actress and best actor awards in the SAG Awards, "The Crown" is renewed for a second season. The show was also regarded as Golden Globe's best drama series.
