Fans of British actor Matthew Goode should be happy to know the he will join the cast of the highly popular Netflix biopic "The Crown" in season two according to a report by International Business Times.
Goode will play the role of Lord Snowdon, whose real name is Antony Armstrong-Jones, a photographer married to Princess Margaret, played by Vanessa Kirby, from 1960 to 1978. During the show's season one, Princess Margaret and her sister, Queen Elizabeth II, played by Claire Foy, were fighting over Margaret's relationship with Peter Townsend, played by Ben Miles. Season two will depict the reign of Queen Elizabeth II until 1964.
Prior to joining "The Crown," Goode played the role of Henry Talbot in the final season of "Downton Abbey" and played as Finley Polmar for two seasons in the CBS legal drama "The Good Wife."
"The Crown" already received multiple awards during the 74th Golden Globe event that included Best Actress for Claire Foy and topped "Game of Thrones" for the Best Drama Award.
In addition, fans of the show are expected to follow each episode of season two as it would be the last for Foy and most of its casts. Foy recently revealed that her time in "The Crown" is about to come to an end. She stated that after two seasons, that's it. She's gone, and added that she is not aware how the show is planning to do it but expect it to be different and exciting.
The upcoming season is expected to air on Netflix in November.
