"The Originals" Season 4 spoilers reveal that there will be a new romance in town when The CW drama returns on March 17. In an earlier interview with TVLine, the cast and series creator Julie Plec explained that most of the major characters will have their romantic scene this season.
The cast also teased that there will be a new romantic relationship brewing for one couple in "The Originals" Season 4. Many fans have been looking forward to the romantic progress between Hayley and Elijah aka "Haylijah" and it looks like this will be explored in the upcoming season.
Phoebe Tonkin, who plays Hayley, explained that Hayley and Klaus' relationship is that of a modern family, so it would not be so complicated to introduce Klaus as Hope's father and Elijah as her uncle and mom's boyfriend. Joseph Morgan, on the other hand, shared that Klaus hopes that his daughter will understand all his sacrifices and view them in a "heroic" way in "The Originals" Season 4.
All these storylines in "The Originals" Season 4 will greatly determine whether the show will live up for another season on air. As Buddy TV reports, The CW president Mark Pedowitz explained that the show has not yet been renewed for another season because it will depend on the upcoming season's performance.
Pedowitz shared that "The Originals" Season 4 renewal will most likely be discussed in May. He remained optimistic that the show will be renewed for another season even after the end of its flagship drama, "The Vampire Diaries."
