"The Originals" Season 4 spoilers reveal that there will be complications in the relationship between Elijah and Hayley aka "Haylijah." In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Julie Plec shared that Hayley will be the one to rescue the Mikaelson brothers when the show returns on air.

Once Elijah is rescued in "The Originals" Season 4, he will realize that there are a lot of things on his hands. Aside from rebuilding his family back up, he also needs to catch up on his relationship with Hayley.

The showrunner also explained that it would not be fair if Hayley would be given a new love interest while Elijah is not around in "The Originals" Season 4. According to Plec, Hayley would stay true to her promise to rescue Elijah and the rest of the family.

Meanwhile, The CW President Mark Pedowitz weighed in on the future of "The Originals" Season 4 during the recently held TCA, reports Deadline. There have been speculations that the show would end its run on air following the conclusion of its predecessor, "The Vampire Diaries."

"The Originals" Season 4 was not included in the list of The CW dramas to get an early renewal. Pedowitz explained that the show has not yet premiered its fourth season and its future depends on its performance, which explains why the show has not been given a renewal order yet.
