"Prison Break" Season 5 was initially set to be released after the final season of "Bones" airs on Fox. In a recent post on Twitter, the show's writers clarified rumors that the show will take over the time slot of the Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz-led series.
They confirmed that the "Prison Break" Season 5 release date was supposedly planned that way. However, Fox still has not officially announced the show's premiere on TV, so nothing is set in stone as of the moment.
While the "Prison Break" revival is inching closer to reality, Paul Scheuring recently told Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming episodes are similar to the "Odyssey." According to the executive producer, fans and viewers will see Michael Scofield's (Wentworth Miller) journey of escaping from prison.
However, his escape from prison is just the beginning of it all. In "Prison Break" Season 5, Michael will also encounter all sorts of trouble and problems once he gets out of prison and finds his way back to Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) and their son.
"It's not just a matter of getting out of prison... but it was traversing half the globe to get back to his wife and son he hasn't seen before," he shared.
Many fans and viewers are looking forward to Sara and Michael's reunion in "Prison Break" Season 5. There are also reports that a major character may die in the upcoming season.
