"American Horror Story" Season 7 might feature something intuitive for the audience in the installment. Creator Ryan Murphy reportedly hinted fans about Sarah Paulson's role in the show. Paulson, who has been a part of the show since the beginning, is reportedly going to play 18 different roles in the current season.
As noted in previous seasons, actors have already played multiple roles in "American Horror Story" in a single instalment. But, none of the actors had to dedicate their time for 18 characters at once.
Murphy had also hinted of a "crossover season" idea as well. The showrunner seemingly wants the elements, characters, and stories from the previous six seasons to merge in for the current instalment. So, actors are expected to play multiple roles for the "American Horror Story" later on.
"All of those characters will intertwine, which is confusing because some of them are from season 1 and 3. Like, Sarah Paulson will probably be playing 18 characters," Murphy stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
According to Murphy, the season will have a crossover between "Coven" and "Murder House" at the same time which is quite unusual. "Murder House" had been the first instalment in the series, while "Coven" was aired for season 3.
A previous session with EW notes of Murphy stating that "American Horror Story" season 7 might not be the instalment for the crossover.
However, during the Entertainment Weekly PopFest last October 2016, Murphy also expressed that he does not think the crossover will happen in season 7. Moreover, FX CEO John Landgraf stated that Murphy was coming up with something different and fresh for the franchise. Landgraf reportedly noted that he knows what season 7 packs in for the audience, but had little idea about the eighth and ninth installments.
Another update about "American Horror Story" season 7 reveals that the instalment will feature a modern scenario. For now, the upcoming instalment's airing dates are still not confirmed.
