It's been almost four years since the last generation of the Nexus 7 was released. Fans of Google's tablet were disappointed for not having an upgrade in 2016. However, rumors are circulating that the next tablet by Google will reportedly be rebranded as the new Pixel 7 to keep in line with the company's decision to drop the Nexus series according to Mobipicker.
Reports claim that Google is partnering with Huawei to build a 7-inch tablet, which means the Pixel 7 might be very well be based on the MediaPad M3, which was released in October 2016. The new tablet may also run a new operating system called Andromeda OS, which is a mix between Android and Chrome OS put together by Google as a hybrid operating system.
Apple is expected to reveal its second generation iPad Pro dubbed as iPad Pro 2 later this year, and not too many tablets can compete with its specs. The Google Pixel 7 might be the only one that can compete with Apple's newest release in terms of hardware.
The Pixel 7 is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, at least 4GB of RAM, 13MP main camera and 8MP for its front-facing camera, and 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 2TB. The display will be a 7-inch quad HD with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. In addition, there is a clamor for Google to carry over a unibody aluminum design.
The Pixel C was the last Android tablet from Google which was released in September 2015. What do you think of Google's Pixel 7 tablet? Write and share your thoughts below the comments section.
