Those who own a Motorola Moto E3 Power, they, unfortunately, will not receive the Android Nougat update. Earlier in October last year, Motorola had published a full list of smartphone models which will get the latest Nougat update eventually. The Moto E3 Power was not present in that particular list. Now it has been officially confirmed by the smartphone company that the device will indeed not be getting an update.
The official customer help of Motorola through its website clearly stated that the handset will continue running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow- the operating system it was launched with. It must be noted that the Moto E3 Power was launched in September 2016.
The Moto E3 Power specs included 2GB of RAM and 3500mAh battery capacity. It came with a MediaTek processor, the first Motorola brand phone to come with such processor straight after 2013. It has a quad-core MT6735P processing chip. Moto E3 Power was launched with Moto E3 which came with mere 1GB of RAM and 2800mAh battery capacity.
Moto E3 Power has sold quite a few handsets since its first release across the world. After going to the official site, we need to input the phone type as Retail, and then select the model from the dropdown menu just below. When we select Moto E3 Power, it says the "device will remain on Android 6.0 Marshmallow". The Android 7.0 update will be released for the likes of Moto Z, Moto Z Play, Moto G, Moto G Play, Moto G Plus, Moto X Style, Moto X Play and Moto M.
