In March 2016, EA confirmed that it would be releasing "NBA Live 2017" early. Another EA title, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is also releasing on March 21 and it appears that NBA Live 2017 will not release either this February or March due to the conflict of EA's game launch.

"NBA Live 2017" official website, NBA Live, EA has prepared something special for their NBA Live fans. However, the said release was planned for the mobile version of the game, which was, launched officially in 2016. Both "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and "NBA Live 2017" occupied the slots of EA's Q4 release for its 2017 fiscal calendar earlier last year. Distinct from other video games, EA's Q4 is between January and March.

EA's plan of releasing "NBA Live 2017" early this year can cause conflict to the forthcoming "Mass Effect: Andromeda." Generally, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is highly anticipated by the fans for its known space drama gameplay and 4K compatibility feature. Although both titles have different genres, it is still possible that "Mass Effect: Andromeda's" strong potential to outperform its batch might affect NBA Live 2017's console release.

Meanwhile, NBA's upcoming All-Star 2017 Event is scheduled to launch on February 19. Some fans are anticipating that EA would release the "NBA Live 2017" probably before or during the event. NBA's All-Star 2017 Event is less than a month away, and the time would be short enough for the game to release before or during the event. Perhaps, EA will only announce the game's release date during the said event. At present, EA has not released any statement about the details for the upcoming "NBA Live 2017."

In spite of all of these, there is still a possibility for EA to release "NBA Live 2017" on or before March. Recently, the South Korea video game regulation board recently confirmed that an "NBA Live" is coming to the Xbox One.
