Unlike collectibles in games that serve no other purpose than being a requirement for Trophies or Achievements, the Antique Coins in Capcom's "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" can be used to purchase in-game upgrades. The guide below will show you the location of Antique Coins in "Resident Evil 7."

According to VG24/7, the Antique Coins in "Resident Evil 7" can be used to purchase a "health upgrade," a "speed booster," and a "powerful magnum pistol." Fenix Bazaar reveals that finding all coins on either Easy or Normal mode will also unlock a trophy called "Pelicans in Your Pocket" while finding all Antique Coins on Madhouse difficulty unlocks a separate trophy called "Mad Pelican."

Antique Coin 1 is in the GUEST HOUSE 1F, in a locked drawer in the kitchen that can be retrieved at the start of the game. However, players must play the Derelict House Footage VHS tape and look for the lockpick in the area you start in, which is somewhere behind you. Go back inside, find the locked drawer in the kitchen on your right and unlock it with the lockpick. Continue watching the tape, and return to the unlocked drawer for the Antique Coin.

Antique Coin 2 can be acquired as you take the key and enter the crawlspace under the MAIN HOUSE 1F. The coin is on an unmissable red lawnmower off to the side.

Antique Coin 3 is in the MAIN HALL of MAIN HOUSE 1F. Check your map, the coin is in a drawer in the upper left area of the map, before the phone and the dilapidated sofa by the dog head door.

Antique Coin 4 is in the MAIN HOUSE 2F inside the Recreation Room marked on your map. Check the map and head to the top-right area of the room, above the pool table and near the locked door. Next to a Mr. Everywhere is the coin.

Antique Coin 5 is in MAIN HOUSE 2F's Bathroom. Check the map and go to the top left of the room. In the dirty old toilet is the antique coin.

Antique Coin 6 is in the MAIN HOUSE 1F inside the briefing room with the whiteboard next door to the room with the deer. On the table near the locked box is an ashtray, and the coin is inside it.

Antique Coin 7 is in the PROCESSING AREA, or the basement of the main house, in the room where you find the area map and the scorpion key. Take the map from the metal shelves, then turn left from here to see a wooden palette leaning against the wall. Crouch and check behind the right side of the palette to find this coin.

Antique Coin 8 is outside the main house. Exit the house through the dog-head door, go into the YARD and down the small steps onto the grass. Go right, then right again to "push up towards the wall of the house" on this level. The coin is in a plant pot.

Antique Coin 9 is unmissable: as you enter the TRAILER in the yard, the coin is in front of the cage with the Magnum gun.

Antique Coin 10 is in the OLD HOUSE 1F. In a story-related event, you must crouch through a small hole and glimpse Mia in a side room. The hallway to this side room has a trolley in it, and atop it is this coin.

After searching for the crow key, you can retrieve Antique Coin 11. The coin is in the same room as the crow key, which is located in the northernmost outhouse of the OLD HOUSE 1F. The coin is on top of the toilet.

Antique Coin 12 is in OLD HOUSE 2F. After fighting some enemies and opening the crow door, you will have to enter dead end that requires a lantern. In this room is a set of drawers: the coin is in the topmost drawer.

After wandering around the main house again, you can claim Antique Coin 13 later on in TESTING AREA 1F. At the end of a long and booby-trapped corridor, head to a large barn to your left. In front of you is a small storage room, which is also booby trapped. Shoot the trip wire explosives, and get the coin from a drawer in the green desk.

Antique Coin 14 can be found after you encounter a fat man molded in the "barn fight." After entering a room in TESTING AREA 2F with a button to release the stairs back down to 1F, search for some mounted chest-high shelves. In the corner of one shelf is the coin.

The following section of this guide contains SPOILERS. Antique Coin 15 is on the WRECKED SHIP 1F. Following the flashback with two workers that unlocks a duct, go inside the hole. Crawl left for the coin. in this dead end.

Antique Coin 16 is also in the WRECKED SHIP 1F. When you reach the area where you pass a dead body and fall into the water, check the ladder that leads up out of the water. The coin is near the left side of the ladder in the murky water.

Antique Coin 17 is in the WRECKED SHIP 3F in a locked red box. Due to your new inventory, you will need to search for a new set of lockpicks. Find the lockpick from 2F: at the northern side of the map opposite the stairwell door is a door to a small side-room near the bunk rooms. Climb up the ladder in here for some ammo and a box with the lockpick.

Antique Coin 18 is in a locked box in WRECKED SHIP S2 after going through one of the engine rooms. In the room that requires you to go down some stairs then climb a circular path "towards a higher-up door." Use some corrosive to melt the safe box open, then retrieve the coin.
