It's no secret how easy it is for the Apple Airpods to misplace, and not to mention, how expensive it is to buy a new pair. Fortunately, the latest iOS 10.3 update is available to solve such problems.
Apple fans were blown away when the Apple Airpods was released in the market. Most people, including the powerful review sites, were impressed by its simplicity and convenience. Although there were minor concerns about the wireless earbuds such as dropping connectivity during calls, not charging properly, and the fact that it's easier to misplace, the Apple's latest headphones were surely a hit.
Digital Trends reported that the Apple's latest iOS update will address the last concern. The version 10.3 of the brand's mobile operating system provides support for the Apple Airpods using the Find My iPhone app. By using this, iPhone owners which support the wireless earbuds will be able to see the headphone's current location.
What's even better is that the version 10.3 update has its "pinging" feature that will be a loud alert on the missing Airpods. To do this, the owner just needs to tap the "Play Sound" option which is found on the Find My iPhone "Action" menu and the next time that it will be connected to a ligged-in device, it will play.
For sure, this will be a form of relief for Apple Airpods owners especially after knowing that it will be pretty much to replace a missing wireless earbud. One pair costs $160 while an eyebrow-raising $70 will be charged for replacing each piece of lost Airpods.
Meanwhile, Mac reported that this will not be the only improvement that iOS 10.3 will offer. A new Apple ID Profile page will be included in the Setting app and this will gather all the information and settings attached to the Apple ID in one place. This means navigating the Settings will be easier.
