Google Maps iOS Update makes the tool more useful, time-saving and easier to use. With the migration of live "Popular Times" service from web search straight to Apple devices, users will find more use for the new Google Maps version 4.27. Apart from "Popular Times," the update also allows users to import addresses from the clipboard when doing searches.
Launched on Jan. 26, Google Maps version 4.27 lets users do a quick check on how busy or crowded a particular area is through crowd tracking from the live "Popular Times" service. This real-time Google function could tell if a certain location is busier or quieter than the usual. That said, it is a useful tool in planning trips and errands, accordingly.
Moreover, Google Maps iOS Update gives users the capability to copy addresses saved on the device's clipboard and paste them directly into the map's search bar. It makes the tool easier to use and also saves time! Instead of manually typing the address, users can now fill the search field automatically with the address imported from the Contacts, Apple Insider reported.
Meanwhile, a report by Express claimed that a unique and new feature that involves parking is heading to the Google Maps app soon. Users will be able to get real-time information on parking availability at a specific destination. As per the report, a P icon will be displayed with the estimated route time to inform users of the parking availability.
The availabilities will be labeled as Limited, Medium and Easy. In addition, the new feature is also believed to include public spots, including airport and shopping malls. This functionality is surely another time-saving inclusion to the several uses of the Google Maps app.
Apart from the aforementioned additions, Google Maps iOS Update carries bug fixes for the app too. Check out a clip that discusses Google Maps "Popular Times" here. Don't forget to share us your thoughts about Google Maps version 4.27 in our comments section below!
