Palit boasts quite a comprehensive portfolio as far as graphics cards are concerned; however, the Taiwanese-based chip maker is still gearing up to launch another model. Bearing the moniker, "Dual OC," the new card delivers sturdy performance without burning a hole in buyers' pockets.

Slimmer and more compact than rest of Palit's GTC 1080s, the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC is being trotted out as a new GPU; however, it's worth noting that the market is already brimming with more powerful and comparatively faster Palit cards than the Palit GeForce GTX 1080. With a slightly lower effective memory frequency of 10,000MHz, the GPU features a 1,620MHz base clock as well as 1,759MHz boost clock.

The lower clock speed implies that the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC requires only a single 8-pin power connector. Moreover, it is the company's only GTX 1080 that sports a dual slot design. This could be a perfect choice for those who are not bent on getting a beefy GPU, according to SegmentNext.

This GPU is perfect for two-way SLI and it is comparatively shorter than rest of the company's previously launched cards. Moreover, the card sports a black shroud indicating that it can be integrated with a slew of motherboards. Although the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC is not all-encompassing, it is still a GTX 1080, meaning, users are bound to getting a lot of power.

This card will be up for grabs in mid-February, according to ComputerBase (via Ocaholic). There's no word regarding the price tag it is likely to carry; however, it is expected to be Palit's most economical GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. Taking the vendors GeForce GTX 1070 lineup into consideration, the Dual OC model is the one that seems to have the lowest price, almost by 20 Euro.
