If reports are to be believed, Niantic is again going hard on cheats and has issued a wave of bans across "Pokemon GO." They specifically focus on users who use bots to play the game. Even though Niantic has not confirmed this, the news is already making waves on Pokemon GO Hub and The Silph Road. Niantic's decision to free the game from bots and cheats is an important step in the right direction. These unfair methods, in fact, ruin the game for other players, who then quickly become bored of the game.

According to Tech.Mic, "Pokemon GO" cheats that use bots can easily reach the level 40 cap way quicker than other players who still to fair play. This ruins the gum-battling metagame. Bots are the most popular among cheats as they play the game automatically for users, even battle gyms. There is no need for human interaction as the bots can catch Pokemon and spin PokeStops. Players also use other unfair methods like GPS spoofing to gain advantage over others.

This method feeds false GPS data to "Pokemon GO" and tricks the app into believing a player is moving when he is actually sitting at home or resting. The players will have to catch Pokemon and fight at gyms but from the comfort of their homes, which defeats the purpose of the game. The bots are more offensive than the GPS spoofing as they control the game totally without any human intervention. Niantic is going hard on bots and fans expect it will also do something about GPS spoofing.

Using "Pokemon GO" bots to automatically raise trainer levels is extremely insulting for serious players as raising trainer levels is an essential part of the game. A higher level means more powerful wild Pokemon and better gym fights. Hitting Level 40 is no easy task if a player does not resort to using bots.
