Online games have grown a popular scene in the gaming industry over the years. Games like "DOTA 2" and "Overwatch" have been in the scene for years and it seems like there are players who still cheat to get ahead of others. One particular player has been recently caught smurfing in "Overwatch."
For those who are not familiar with the phrase, smurfing is an act of using a low level character or game account to ensure the opposition will be below a level of skill. In a report by PCGames, there was a player who did a live stream, while playing the FPS game and laughing at doing so.
The player, who goes by the alias of IDDQ6, can be seen enjoying playing the game. The player used verbal insults to the other players in broken English and typed the provoking phrase into the chat.
Many gamers and fans that tuned into the livestream were pissed and took the matter into the game's online forums. The fans comments center into the idea that cheating/smurfing is unacceptable in the game.
Moreover, several fans pointed out that the player to be permanently banned from the game for life. The player has also been known to be Swedish that explains his broken English. One fan comments and calls the attention of Blizzard and wants the player to be banned.
In other news, "Overwatch" will receive its Chinese New Year update on January 24. In a report by UK Express, the update will have new skins for some characters in the FPS online game. Blizzard has confirmed that the next patch will be the same size as the earlier updates.
Furthermore, it is highly likely that players will see a themed mini-mode or special playlist. The Year of the Rooster event was leaked by an unknown player in China and found out about the ad with an image of main characters dressed in Chinese New Year Skins.
