If this would be bad news to all "Resident Evil" fans who plan to purchase Nintendo Switch soon, then, it should be bad news as Capcom confirmed that is not bringing "Resident Evil 7" to Nintendo's upcoming console. No, not just yet.
Speaking to Express, producer Masachika Kawata and director Koshi Nakanishi confirmed that the survival horror game is not coming to Nintendo Switch, which Kawata said that the console is a very unique hardware and he's looking forward to the possibilities of the console. "But we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch," he said.
According to GameSpot, Capcom is one of the development partners for Nintendo Switch so the possibilities of Capcom games coming to the console is still high and for "Resident Evil" fans who are disappointed with this news, don't worry, Capcom might still bring the game further down the line one day. "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is set to launch on Jan. 24 for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One platforms and it was confirmed just recently that it's an Xbox Play Anywhere title for PC and Xbox One.
Additionally, fans can download the "Resident Evil 7" Beginning Hour demo to check out the new first-person gameplay style. For those who are in the United Kingdom, they can get a real life preview of the game through visiting the "Resident Evil 7" Experience, which is a live-action experience inspired by the game's storyline.
Capcom has previously said that the participants on this live-action experience will not be alone as they try solving puzzles and escape unharmed since the members of the public play the role of journalist interns who are investigating their crew's disappearance. Meanwhile, the next "Resident Evil" upcoming movie "The Final Chapter" debuts on Jan. 27 and with regard to the Nintendo Switch, it is set to launch on March 3 for $300.
