“Grey’s Anatomy” fans will be delighted after Sarah Drew’s revelation. Although it remains unclear whether or not Jackson and April are heading toward a happy ending, she did confirm that there is a big Japril-centric episode coming up.
“There is a lot of fun things in store, especially for Japril,” Drew told Moviefone. “It is going to air in March - a whole episode dedicated just to the two of us.” The Japril couple will reportedly be on a trip to Montana to treat a throat transplant condition.
According to Drew, this particular “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 plot line will be “a really incredible opportunity for them” to just be together and hash it all out. Away from the confines of Grey Sloan Memorial, the on-screen couple will have “nothing else distracting them out of the normal environment.”
Drew, who plays the role of April on “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13, also revealed that their co-star, Kevin McKidd, will be directing the episode. “It is very different, tonally, than a lot of the other episodes,” she added. “There is a lot of quiet space and stillness. It is not frantic and moving super-fast. It is really lovely.”
Meanwhile, according to TV Guide, Camilla Luddington’s Joe will realize that Alex, played by Justin Chambers, may not have a trial and that he may opt to take a plea for jail time. Based on her gut reaction, which surprised “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 fans, it would seem that she does not want her on-screen partner to go to prison on her account. Still, Jo could be a tad bit too late to do anything about it. However, it is worth noting that DeLuca’s name will eventually be dragged into this mess for not just quietly accepting Alex’s beatdown.
Luddington revealed to TV Line the upcoming “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 episode will have some “discussion of Alex.” However, she did add that it is only until the show’s February 2nd episode that everyone gets to “find out his fate.”
