Sandra Oh starred for ten seasons in "Grey's Anatomy" as Dr. Cristina Yang and fans are wondering if she would ever check back into Seattle Grace Hospital once again. Dr. Yang was one of the doctors that were first introduced as a surgical intern and worked her way up to resident doctor level where she became a cardiothoracic surgical fellow in the long run.
Asked whether fans would see Dr. Cristina Yang once again in "Grey's Anatomy," Sandra Oh, 45, said that it's not plausible at this time. "At this point... No, I don't think so," she told hosts Kit Hoover and Natalie Morales during her appearance on "Access Hollywood Live" along with her "Catfight" co-star Anne Heche.
She was then pushed further whether she will consider making a comeback once the series wraps up sooner or later, she revealed that she has had talks with showrunner Shonda Rimes about an option of coming back, which would be such great news to her fans especially that her character was Meredith Grey's bestfriend in the series. She then said that she doesn't know just yet and that it will have to ‘feel right' after she decided to leave the series behind in 2014 despite her Golden Globe winning for her performance in the ABC drama, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Sandra Oh's character was written out when she decided to depart with the story telling the audience that has to go abroad for work, according to a report. She went on to say that "Grey's Anatomy" means so much to her and looking back at the time where she was still in the drama, she said that it was ‘extremely important and deeply meaningful' to her.
She added that the entire generation including the new generation of fans is starting to discover "Grey's Anatomy" and she is really happy about it. Nonetheless, fans may have to wait a little longer before Dr. Cristina Yang would make a comeback (hopefully).
