"Street Fighter" will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this 2017 and it seems like Capcom is going to treat us with a surprise before the year ends. A big reveal is hinted as the game developers released a teaser update on what is in store for the year.

Thirty years ago, players started to get hooked with the much-loved "Street Fighter" franchised and Capcom has an ongoing project to make sure everyone will be happy for the upcoming release. In a report from IGN, Yoshinori Ono, the producer of the said series teased on several surprises that players can expect for this year.

He promised that the 30th year will be celebrated with a special reveal that will be announced either at the San Diego Comic-Con or E3 this year. This is something a lot of players can look forward to, though not much information is revealed by Ono in the said interview. He stated: "One or two surprises will be released for "Street Fighter" fans."

He then reaffirmed that there is an ongoing development to update "Street Fighter 5" for this year and a release of a mysterious new Season 2 is getting completed before the year ends. Fans who opt to purchase the second season pass will have a special feature of fan-fave Akuma coming back to their screens along with five other fighters over the course of three to four months.

While it is still uncertain, the special reveals later this year might actually be related to this. According to reports, support for the game will end on 2020 but there are still a lot of content to be expected from Capcom.

Last week, the celebrations for "Street Fighter" franchise was started with "Ultra Street Fighter 2" which was revealed for Nintendo Switch console. The game is currently available for PC and PlayStation 4 users.
