Borderland's "Battleborn" recently released a huge update, adding new characters, performance improvements, economy changes and a lot more. The winter update has started to rollout in 2PM PT / 5 PM ET, packed with full access to the newest launched 25 games, enhanced UI, 4K support for all PS4 Pro and new training modes along with the third story DLC and fifth free character.

According to Gamespot, the "Battleborn" so called winter update has file sizes of 18GB for Xbox One consoles, 13GB on PlayStation 4, and 15 GB for PCs. For these hefty updates, game's performance enhancements came along with different resolutions plus frame rate combinations, such as 1080p/30fps, 1080p/60fps, and 4K/30fps for PlayStation 4. Xbox One S users can also choose their visual resolutions up to 1080p/60fps.

Also dropping with the new update is a new hero named Beatrix, the fifth and final free DLC character of "Battleborn." Beatrix will be available to unlock today for season pass holders, with non-holders able to pick the new hero via hero key or in-game currency which will be available this January 26.

As the new hero Beatrix comes along, the third of five premium story DLC mission in titled Oscar Mike Versus the Battle School is also will be seen, as reported by Kotaku. Adding two new training modes, the Incursion Tutorial and Dojo Mode along with the Draft Mode will let team players take turns from choosing and banning players. The games Command Rank level cap and Character Rank Cap were also extended up to level 150.

These are some of the big updates that have been revealed, but one of the highlights of the update is the changes in the gameplay. Players will finally be able to use all characters in the training friendly of Dojo Mode, allowing players to battle number waves of minion enemies. Also, single player mode is also playable with the incursion tutorial to let players prepare for their PVP missions. A hardworking player that unlocks characters by completing all the challenges has now rewards for every unlocked hero.
