"Tekken 7" will finally have a release date but Bandai Namco is not announcing it just yet. The game developer stated that it will be revealing the date next week.

It has been a while since fans have heard anything about the highly anticipated combat game. Thus, this new update would really excite the players and game enthusiasts alike.

The announcement about the release date was posted on "Tekken 7" official Twitter account. On Jan. 19, Bandai Namco tweeted, "To all Tekken fans and beyond: look forward to the release date announcement of Tekken 7 next week. Stay tuned!"

Bandai Namco did not mention any other details, so fans should look out for updates this weekend and the following week. So far, other information that have been previously revealed to be featured in the game sequel include better single player option and new characters.

In "Tekken 7," players will get to know each character since everyone will have their own backstory. Their moves, techniques and special skills are going to be listed as well so players will get easier time figuring out their strong traits and perhaps, weaknesses too.

On the other hand, the single player mode is an interesting addition to the game because it can fuse Quick Time Events (QTE) and cut-scenes with the standard gameplay to achieve better cinematic gaming experience. Recent "Tekken 7" trailers have offered glimpse of how it will look like and observers were simply amazed.

Players may not have any idea about the extent that the QTEs will apply into the play. But since Bandai proudly showed off the trailer, it could mean that it will offer major new game mechanisms.

Moreover, in his previous interview with Games Beat, Murray said that players now often stream the fight matches. "And, they can have matches and all kinds of things. The Event mode was designed in the arcade and console to make it easier for people to create tournaments, etc."

Meanwhile, after more than two decades of being in the arcade and console, "Tekken" will finally find its way to PC. The "Tekken 7" is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Release date for the said gaming platforms is set to be announced next week.
