PlayStation Vita is still valiantly trying to extend its significance with new titles and games amidst changes in the gaming scene where PC and consoles are preferred. Much worse, a console-grade Nintendo Switch challenges the PS Vita in the portability department.

The gaming world is probably considering PlayStation Vita as an old dog waiting to be scrapped by tech giant Sony. At any rate, there are still some interesting games coming on PS Vita this 2017 so the notion that it is insignificant might be wrong after all.

Starting the 2017 PlayStation Vita titles list is the RPG, "Oceanhorn: Monster of the Uncharted Seas." While it is given that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is the measure of portability and RPG combined, "Oceanhorn: Monster of the Uncharted Seas" is not that bad either.

"Oceanhorn: Monster of the Uncharted Seas" combined strategy RPG with cool side quests and mini games like puzzle solving. PS Vita Zelda-ish "Oceanhorn" may lack creativity and originality, but it can still be a great game that players can enjoy, GameSpot noted.

Next in the list of upcoming PlayStation Vita games this 2017 is "Forgotten Memories: Alternative Reality." Fans have to wait a bit longer for this title though as developers pegged the release date on late 2017, IPlayPSVita reported.

"Forgotten Memories: Alternative Reality" is a survival-horror game mixed with elements of thriller-packed narrative. PlayStation Vita players can take on the character of Rose and explore an abandoned asylum in search of a young girl named Eden.

Lastly, PlayStation Vita players need to try out "Plague Road." This title was funded through a Kickstarter campaign and developed by an indie group Arcade Distillery. Nonetheless, PS Vita's "Plague Road" is unprecedented in a sense that it generates game locations. Players should combat monsters in this turn-based RPG while looking for a cure to the plague that these abhorrent have caused.
