'Final Fantasy XV' Guides: How to Finish All of Vyv's Photography Quests

S. Turla

Vyv is a non player character (NPC) and the owner and editor of the "Meteor" magazine in the game "Final Fantasy XV." His quests include some of the most high-paying missions from NPCS in the role-playing title by Square Enix.

According to IGN, players can take on Vyv's side quests after completing the tour "A Stroll for Two" with Iris during Chapter 3. Approach Vyv in Lestallum, and talk to him to begin "The Perfect Landscape," his first photography quest for Noctis. Rewards include 1,000 EXP and 5,000 Gil. Do take note that all of Vyv's quests must be done in the morning so Prompto will have proper lighting.

The photos must be taken at the two quest markers on the "Final Fantasy XV" in-game map. The first one is north of the Disc of Cauthess, and the other is by the chocobo racing courses. Talk to Vyv once you are done.

In "An Eye for Islands," rewards are 1,500 EXP and 7,500 Gil. Vyv sends Noctis to Galdin Quay. Take the photograph, then return to Vyv.

For "Aftermath of the Astral War," you will receive 2,000 EXP and 10,000 Gil. Players must now take two photos featuring Taelpar Crag. Head to the lookout tower close to Tollhends Stronghold. The next quest marker is at a bridge to the east of Old Lestallum.

In "Of Gods and Kings," Noctis will receive 2,500 EXP and 12,500 Gil. Vyv sends you to a quest marker southeast of Duscae. Photograph the gate of the Royal Tomb, and then the Tomb itself. Return to Vyv to receive the rewards for this quest.

For "Vyv's Volcanic Inspiration," rewards are 3,000 EXP and 15,000 Gil. You must now head to the Rock of Ravatogh after talking to Vyv. After heading up the slope, go to the lava waterfall at the long dead-end to the west of the map.

Samurai Gamers warns that the heat from the lava will continuously damage you and your party. Fight the Thunderocs along the way using Fire magic and Firearms. At the top of the slope, take the photos for Vyv, and return to him once you are done.

In "A Place to Call Home," rewards are 3,500 EXP, 17,500 Gil, and the "Time" photo filter. Go to the hill overlooking Insomnia. It's the same area where Chapter 1 ended. Go back to Vyv in Lestallum after taking a photograph.

For "The Pen is Mightier than the Sword," you will receive 4,000 EXP and 20,000 Gil. Vyv now needs three photos of the imperial bases in Lucis. The first is Formout Garrison in Leide, near to the Prairie Outpost). Next is Tollhends Stronghold in Cleigne, north of Old Lestallum. Last is Perpetouss Keep in Duscae, southwest of the Cauthess Rest Area.

Keep in mind that each of the three photos belongs to a specific side quest. Select each side quest manually in the main menu to activate the waypoints. Imperial troops will attack at each location, so prepare to fight them before you take photos.

"The Cursed Canvas" is Vyv's last side quest, but you must be at "Final Fantasy XV" Chapter 9 and have a level 30 party to start it. Rewards are 5,000 EXP and 25,000 Gil. Vyv will send you to Altissia, but you must call Umbra at a hotel or caravan to return.

Go to the Maagho Bar and talk to Weskham, who will tell you the painting's location once you accept the "A Lost Painting" hunt. The quest marker is in the basement of the Secretary's Estate, where Prompto will take the required photo. You can also flee without finishing the hunt. Go back to Lucis using the "Call Umbra" feature at the Leville. Return to Vyv for your reward.
