Apple has just made the iOS 10.2.1 beta 4 available for download for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices compatibility three days following the seeding of iOS 10.2.1 beta 3 to developers who are registered on Apple's Developer Program portal. It follows the release of macOS Sierra 10.12.3 beta 4 that has been also seeded few days after its beta 3 hit distribution servers.
The iOS 10.2.1 beta 4 release carrying a build number 14D27 has been released quickly after beta 3 identified as 14D23 to fix the iOS 10.2.1's showstopper bug and then rolling it out to the public for iPad, iPod touch and iPhone users worldwide. Although there are no further details on the release notes for beta 4, the timing as well as build number means that only minor bug fixes and improvements are in the new software's inclusions, according to Apple Insider.
It appears that Apple is back to its standard beta software launch schedule after a holiday break releasing iOS 10.2.1 beta 3 along with new beta builds for tvOS, watchOS and macOS last week. The Cupertino-based company also seeded initial builds in mid-December 2016 and released the second versions a week later.
For developers who haven't provisioned their devices to get over-the-air updates can download iOS 10.2.1 via Apple's developer portal and if you have already enrolled your device to test it out, you can download the seed via Apple Beta Software Program website. According to Redmond Pie, the iOS 10.2.1 Public Beta 4 is now available for download for users who are registered on Apple Beta Software Program.
