Game producer and developer Electronic Arts (EA) has just revealed positive news for 2017. The company is bringing back the "FIFA" franchise to the upcoming Nintendo Switch.

EA Sports is bringing back the well-acclaimed soccer game/simulator to Nintendo consoles. "FIFA 13" in 2012 was the last game EA produced for the iconic company.

With the gears set in full motion, EA Sports is banking on the highly anticipated Switch console. At Nintendo's press event, the company behind the "FIFA" franchise stated that the next FIFA game will be the best and most authentic sports game ever featured in Nintendo history.

In other news, Nintendo will be releasing the Nintendo Switch Console on March 3 in the UK and Europe. According to Mirror, the much awaited hybrid console will be unveiled earlier than expected.

The console will retail at $299.99 and local retailers in Europe confirmed that it will sell for £279.99. The launch bundle will include the main console, two Joycons, the Switch dock and its AV cables.

Reports have indicated that GameStop's social media accounts are displaying the available Nintendo Switch console in the US. Hopefully, this will not result in another shortage like the SNES gaffe late in 2016.
