Although fruits are known to be packed with the essential vitamins and minerals that the body needed to survive, some people are not that convinced to eat it. But what if, an apple, for example, can be turned into an alcoholic drink. Would that change anybody's mind in a snap?
If yes, then say hello to Alchema -- a machine that is able to ferment fruits into wine or cider at home. The device is easy to use and in fact, it looks like a typical juicer but only, it is more stylish and smaller. According to DigitalSpy, it can make about three bottles of wine with the alcohol content ranging from 3.2% to 10.8%.
Alchema is available for pre-order on Kickstarter, one of the most famous platforms which help artists, designers, musicians, inventors, and other creators to find the necessary support and resources for their ideas to become reality. The said smart home appliance costs $499 and although it sounds a little pricey, most people will surely bite into this wonderful tech.
Meanwhile, The Verge shared about how the Alchema works and it works by allowing users to pick a recipe for wine, mead, or cider bu using a companion iOS app. After which, the user should add the rest of the ingredients such as sugar and yeast. It will take a little time but surely, it is worth waiting. The companion iOS app will let its user know when the fermentation is done. Usually, cider takes about two weeks maximum.
The idea of turning almost any fruit into something else, an alcohol, for example, is pretty cool, unique, and exciting. For sure Alchema will transform anybody's view about boring fruits and see those as something interesting. Moreover, the companion iOS app will prompt the user to share their new-found alcoholic drink, via social media, once everything's done.
