A multiplayer gameplay video of Medal of Honor: Warfighter in alpha mode has been leaked, and from what we can tell thus far, it looks like a Call of Duty clone, unfortunately. The video, which spans little over 3 minutes, is action packed and looks and plays quite differently from Medal of Honor 2010. We haven't seen much difference when compared to Call of Duty, only similarities, and that's a huge letdown.

One thing that looks to be an improvement over the previous game is the guns. The weapons now seem to have a lot more recoil, which would require actual skills to shoot some sad bastard from a distance. Medal of Honor 2010 was easy to play online, one could easily rack up 30+ kills in every match due to lack of recoil on weapons. Despite that, however, the game was fun, but wasn't fun enough to be chosen over a game of Call of Duty with a bunch of friends.

The video also highlighted the player piloting an attack helicopter, controlling a bot much like Modern Warfare 3 along with wearing advance body armor. If anything, we have to give the game props for graphics. The FrostBite 2.0 engine is showing its power in this regard, but for everything else, all we see is another game trying to be like Call of Duty, which is understandable considering the circumstances, but still disappointing nonetheless.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is Electronic Arts' latest effort in trying to topple the Call of Duty franchise. The game has a release date set for October 23, 2012, and will be the main contender to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which from our account, looks to be one boring and washed out game.

The video can be viewed at pcgames.de. We'll have it embedded here once it is available in such fashion.
