Ahead of the January 12 release date, there has been a leaked video from HTC that is seen that the company is flaunting their newest smartphone products. The said event might also cover other gadgets as well like smartwatches, tablets, and some VR headsets.
One of the reporters from VentureBeats, Evan Blass, did leak two promo videos that give a few hints of what's in store for the upcoming event. In one of the videos, there seems to be a shot of a Vive-branded device.
According to Tech Radar, this is the first time that the publication has heard of a smartphone with the HTC Vive moniker attached. And if there is really that kind of a device, then it may also mean that there will also be VR headset on the way from the company.
However, there are still no official news on that matter and tech enthusiast will most likely wait for the said event in January 12. Moreover, the video also shows that customization options are going to be a big part of the company's smartphone line-up.
Meanwhile, the second video leaked by Evan Blass shows a couple taking pictures from a fine European city with the unknown smartphone and using the edges of the device for scrolling and open applications. It's still not clear if the video features an actual device or another concept but the report stated that the featured edge functions will make its way to the HTC 11.
However, Phone Arena reports that the edge functionally feature will land on the HTC Ocean and believes that there will be other uses for the said feature. Other than that, the publication also said that the company will release two smartphones in January 12. Further, a third mid-range device might also be featured with the flagships featuring the company's new UI.
