A new laptop offering from Dell hopes to provide a great competition to the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The device was recently revealed at the CES 2017 event.

Dell Latitude 7285 specs and features

Dubbed the Dell Latitude 7285, the upcoming device boasts a 12.3-inch screen which has an "impressive" display housed on a thin screen with minimal bezels. The new-gen laptop is set to be released next month. Microsoft, on the other hand, also plans to release another Microsoft Surface Pro device before the end of the year.

In terms of processor, the Dell Latitude 7285 will have an Intel Core i vPro processor which is newer than the sixth-gen Intel chipset of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Those who want to buy the Dell laptop should know that it has USB-C ports while the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has the usual USB 3.0 ports.

Price details

Other highlights of the Dell Latitude 5285 include a fingerprint reader, a Smartcard reader and other security software options for the users. All these features will be sold for a price of $899.

Stylus and additional keyboard

Aside from these features, the Dell device will also have a stylus just like other tablets in the market and a keyboard that can be bought separately. Buyers have the choice to purchase the laptop with a RAM ranging from 4GB to 16GB and an internal storage option from 256GB to 1TB.

The device is perfect for people wanting to own a gadget with the functionality of a laptop but with the portability of a tablet. It is a lightweight and easy-to-carry device just like the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

The Dell Latitude 5285 offers the public a 2-in-1 option for users who need both a tablet and a laptop either for their work or personal use. Which device do you think is better, the Dell Latitude 5285 or the Microsoft Surface Pro 4?
