Another interesting piece of technology has been announced at the January 5 event of the Las Vegas CES 2017 as Dell unveils the first laptop with wireless charging capability. Laptop maker, Dell, has unveiled its new Dell Latitude 7285 and claimed that it is the first laptop to have wireless charging feature.
The Dell Latitude 7285 unveiled at the 2017 Las Vegas CES is a 2-in-1 business laptop. The new hybrid laptop from Dell utilized a clever method to do what other laptops has failed to achieved, a true wireless charging capability.
It's all on the keyboard. The trick with Dell Latitude 7285 can all be seen in its keyboard. Since the Dell Latitude 7285 is a 2-in-1 hybrid, all its components are actually fitted in the laptop's screen which also serves as a tablet when detached from the keyboard. The Dell Latitude 7285 screen/tablet component can be attached to a keyboard which communicates with a charging pad. This will then allow the screen/tablet component to be charged without the need of a wire.
Another key Dell Latitude 7285 feature that allows it to be the first wireless charging laptop is the use of WiTricity magnetic resonance wireless charging technology. It can be remembered that the WiTricity wireless charging tech was first featured at last year's Las Vegas CES.
An intriguing Dell Latitude 7285 feature is that it actually comes with three different keyboards, one of which is the keyboard to be attached to the charging pad. It would have been more impressive if the new Dell laptop demoed at the Las Vegas CES 2017 was able to put all the features of the three keyboards into one.
The Dell Latitude 7285 wireless charging laptop release date is set in the middle part of 2017. Dell is said to unveil few more devices with wireless charging capabilities along with other new products in the Dell EMC World in May.
