Owners of the Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming console can jump on the Resident Evil 6 demo train right now and give all three campaigns a test run. However, to do so, gamers must own a copy of Capcom's own Dragons Dogma, an RPG that was release this year to mix reviews. This promotion is not available to PlayStation 3 owners, so if you are one of those guys, you might not want to take a look inside the PlayStation Store just yet.

The free download which grant players a slice of the upcoming action/horror title, which is expected be released on October 2, 2012, place gamers in the shoe of Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Jake Muller.

Leon's part of the demo has our favorite Resident Evil character exploring the Ivy University campus in search of Zombies and anything else he can find. If you want a lot of scare factor, we expected Leon Kennedy's campaign to deliver on this in diamonds and spades.

Next up, we have Chris Redfield. You all know Chris, right? He is the first protagonist in the Resident Evil series, and a member of the Raccoon City police special forces. From what we can tell from the demo, Chris' campaign will be filled with action and less scary moments, which is not a bad thing since Leon got all the scares locked down.

Finally, Jake Muller. Jake is new to Resident Evil, but what is most interesting is that he is the son of the deceased Albert Wesker. Apparently, his blood possesses the ability to cure the T-Virus, and he also has some type of self-healing thing going on about him. We're guessing before Albert Wesker died, he did some sciency stuff on his son, or Jake could just be another one of the infected. Jake is up against a new Resident Evil enemy called the Ustanak in Easter Europe. Gameplay wise, Jake's campaign is a mix of both Leon and Chris.

Capcom hasn't mentioned when all Xbox 360 owners will be able to take the demo for a spin, but we are guessing it won't be too far from now.

Resident Evil 6 is turning out to be classic, a potential best in the series. So far, Resident Evil 4 is the best of the series by a long shot. It will take much doing for Resident Evil 6 to surpass it and we think it can.
