It has just been confirmed that more Bandai Namco games are now playable on the PlayStation Now digital cloud streaming service. In addition to pre-existing role-playing games and its timeless classics, players can now enjoy common fan-favorites.
Before the announcement was made, PlayStation Now gamers had access to the likes of "Galaga Legions DX," "Eternal Sonata," "Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch," "Pac-Man Championship Edition DX," and "Katamari Forever."
Now, they have also been provided with the opportunity to play "Tekken Tag Tournament 2," "Dead to Rights: Retribution," "Dark Souls II," and more, as confirmed on the PlayStation Blog.
The addition of "Dark Souls II" to PlayStation Now's roster of games was not expected, but was highly welcomed, according to Cinema Blend. This decision only solidified reports that Sony is focused on growing its gaming library for the PlayStation Now as quickly as possible.
Shortly after "Dark Souls II" was launched in early 2014, the game turned out to be a huge hit. Bandai and From Software was quick in following up on that success and launched "Dark Souls III" in March of 2016. For the version that was released last year, its makers gave it a massive upgrade by loading on more weaponry and giving it more outlandish boss enemies.
Another newly added game that was a pleasant surprise for the gaming public was "Dead to Rights: Retribution." Although it has been reported to be a reboot of the first two "Dead to Rights" instalments that were released before it, the backstory and over-the-top gameplay was reportedly not carried over.
The most common complaint associated with the PlayStation Now is with regard to its game catalog. Multiple gaming news sources have reported that the game choices were not great. These new additions to the list are expected to make the streaming service even more appealing.
