Garmin has just unveiled three new additions to its Fenix smartwatch line. The GPS-enabled new Garmin Fenix smartwatch was introduced at the Las Vegas CES 2017.

The new Garmin smartwatches, the Fenix 5, Fenix 5X and Fenix 5s, all comes with GLONASS. This feature will allow users monitor their distance, speed and other metrics when doing any outdoor activity such as biking, swimming, hiking, running or simply walking.

The daily activity tracking feature of the new Garmin Fenix smartwatches is coupled with Garmin elevate, the patented optical heart-rate sensor of Garmin, to make the new Fenix smartwatches a great exercise tracker. Like other best smartwatch in the market today, the Garmin Fenix 5 watches will also be able to show notifications from iOS or Android smartphones linked with the smartwatch.

Though the Garmin Fenix 5 watches introduced at the CES 2017 Las Vegas event are purposely made for outdoor use, the Fenix 5 devices do not have the bulky and heavy frame of the other best smartwatch of the same category. The lightness of the Garmin Fenix 5 smartwatches sets it apart from other high-end multi-sport smartwatch in the market today.

The Fenix 5 devices introduced by Garmin at the Las Vegas CES 2017 are all made from stainless steel, the company even claims that the new Fenix 5, Fenix 5X and Fenix 5s are lighter, thinner and more versatile than any of the previous watches that came out from its stable. The new Garmin Fenix 5 devices will be waterproof up to a distance of 100 meters.

The battery-life of the new Garmin Fenix smartwatch is said to last for a week with regular usage. Garmin also added gyroscope and barometric altimeter in all three new Fenix smartwatch.

The added 'QuickFit Release System' feature of the new Fenix 5 devices will allow users to easily personalize their watches by changing the bands of their Fenix 5 devices. The new Garmin Fenix 5, Fenix 5X and Fenix 5S will be commercially available in March.
