The purported Season 10 finale of "The Big Bang Theory" is set to air on Jan. 5, 2017. There are talks that the "Big Bang Theory" will be exiting for good, while other fans believe that a Season 11 is in the works.
Season 10 Episode 12, titled "The Holiday Summation," will air on Thursday, directed by Mark Cendrowski. The story is written by Chuck Lorre, Steve Holland and Maria Ferrari, while the teleplay is by Steve Holland, Maria Ferrari and Jeremy Howe. The episode synopsis states that Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will visit Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) for the first time since the holiday season and tell the story about their bad trip to Texas. Sheldon's mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf) will also return for the "Big Bang Theory" finale, writes SpoilerTV.
Cinema Blend wrote that "Big Bang Theory" fans are starting to wonder whether the series will continue after Season 10. Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj on the show, said that they still hope to continue for another two seasons. However, the decision is not entirely up to the cast. CBS has not announced that "Big Bang Theory" will finally close after the season finale, but it is still in its three-season renewal. This means that the show will at least keep airing through 2017, making it one of the longest-running shows in history.
