A new and exciting year is approaching and for PlayStation Plus members, this only means that a lot of free new games are coming. Sony has confirmed that 2017 will be kicking off with "Day of the Tentacle: Remastered" and "This War of Mine: The Little Ones."

The official PlayStation Blog reveals the confirmed games that PlayStation Plus is about to bring its members for this coming 2017. There, it writes that "Day of the Tentacle: Remastered" is a mind-bending, time travelling puzzle and adventure game where three friends will work hand in hand to stop an impending doom. This evil comes in the unlikely form of a mutated purple tentacle that seeks to take over the world with its sinister plans. This game was first released in 1993 and has been revered by gamers as a classic. Now that it is remastered, players are in for more.

For those who are looking for a darker and a little more serious experience to start the year, they need not look any further as "This War of Mine: The Little Ones" will bring that and much more. This exciting game will let players play as a group of civilians who struggle to survive in a city under siege as they pull in whatever they can do gather food and supplies. Players would have to make life and death choices driven only by their conscience and all these are done as they deal with the many dangers of war.

The other titles that will be released for the PlayStation Vita would be "Titan Souls," which happens to be a cross-buy with PlayStation 4, "Azkend 2: The World Beneath, "The Swindle" and "Blazerush." All of these six exciting games will be available for no charge for members of PlayStation Plus starting next January 3.

While those have not yet been released, members should make the most out of the heavy indie line-up for this month. This includes underground hits such as "Invisible, Inc" and "Stories: The Path of Destinies" for the PlayStation 4; both of which have gotten high reviews from critics on their respective launches.
