The Huawei Mate 9 is a beautifully designed smartphone with gorgeous display and long hours of battery life. Unfortunately, some people are having a few issues with their Mate 9 and according to a report by Android Authority, here are the potential solutions for them.

Issues using third-party launchers

A few users of the Mate 9 are having issues with third-party launchers, particularly Nova, where their devices return back to stock launcher after closing an app. The cause of this might be the aggressive RAM management and battery saving features that closes apps that are running in the background that includes the third-party launcher.

A solution for this is to lock the Nova into the "Recent Apps" list. Go to the Nova Launcher settings, press the "Recent Apps" key then press the small lock icon to lock it in place. Enabling the Nova setting "Aggressive Desktop" might also fix the issue.

Performance Issues

Some Mate 9 users are claiming that their devices randomly freeze and also lag. A solution for this is to install the Greenify app wherein you can see and change the settings of list of apps that tends to wake up and slows down the device.

Battery Issues

Some users are having battery issues and that their devices run out of juice in just six to eight hours of light usage. Keeping track of the battery stats to see if a particular app is causing the battery drain then uninstalling that app might fix the problem. Some users of the Mate 9 have discovered that the Exchange email app and the Google Calendar sync are the cause of the problem.

These issues of the Huawei Mate 9 do not affect all the devices, but if you do have them, hopefully these solutions fix your problems. Also, you can click here to see how to factory reset your device. This usually fixes a majority of the problems but it will also erase all your user data.
