Amid the new game releases in 2016 featuring heavy action with high-end weapons of destruction, a certain game managed to establish its name with its relaxing, zen farming features. The said game is called "Stardew Valley" from Eric Barone and Chucklefish Games.

"Stardew Valley" was dubbed as The Spirit Of The PC 2016 by PC Gamer. How could a relaxing, borderline mindless farming RPG game be dubbed as The Spirit Of The PC 2016? Read on to find out.

Basically, "Stardew Valley" is a game that takes players to a community where the focus is on farming, meeting locals and taking part in local community events. Players who have had an experience win "Harvest Moon" can pretty much feel a sense of parralelism with the PC game from Chucklefish Games. However, one stark difference between the two is that "Harvest Moon" didn't have a PC version.

Some would say that the success of "Harvest Moon" was not harnessed and maximized well, as it left a gap for PC version demands. Perhaps this was one of the inspirational windows that opened for Eric Barone to create the now famous farming game, "Stardew Valley."

Although the game concept may appear to be simple and effortless, it has actually eaten a lot of waking hours from the players. Why so? Well, the farming life seems to be very addictive as the players get lost in the game while planting crops, tending to farm animals and discovering new mine passages.

Another game feature that seems to hook players to "Stardew Valley" game is the quest to expand the farm and succeed in the local business industry. With all the attention that the game is getting, it would be safe to say that it would gain more fans and players in 2017. According to online game reviews, the PC game can be likened to "The Sims" but with a more specific location and slightly different tasks and goals.

As for game updates, Chucklefish Games have yet to announce the schedule for a new "Stardew Valley" patch or update. Haven't played the game yet? Check out the gameplay video below!
