The indie game studio, Infinite Fall, has announced a delay in the release of "Night in the Woods." The game was originally scheduled for release on Jan. 10, 2017.
Infinite Studio something came up suddenly over the past few days and they have to push back the "Night in the Woods" release by a few weeks. The team also stated that it was just a "normal thing" and there is nothing to be alarmed of.
The studio claimed that the delay had something to do with the fact that they were a small team making a big game and they have been working on the game's version in multiple platforms.
Infinite Fall Studio that there is no exact date for the release, but it will be some time in the first week of February 2017. As of now Pre-orders for the "Night in the Woods" are available in various stores.
The game is about Mae Borowski, a College dropout, who returns home in Possum Springs. She plans to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with friends she left behind. But home is quite different now and her friends have grown and changed. Leaves are all falling, making the winds grew colder. Strange things are happening in their town, and there's something in the woods.
"Night in the Woods" is a stylish-whimsical indie game, where players can take an auxiliary game like "Lost Constellation." The game is also known as a "Longest Night Ghost Story" that let players sail into the heart of frozen woods. As a highlight of the game, you can pay whatever you like to purchase in the game.
"This supplemental game, which is to say it's not a demo or a preview of Night in the Woods ... It's a tangent, a side-story, a way for us to explore a bit in a more off-the-cuff manner," explained the game developers.
