The popular HBO Original TV series, Westworld, has been one of the most popular TV shows this year. The science fiction reportedly garnered the highest viewership rating for any HBO TV show since True Detective which was first aired in 2014.

The Westworld has been highly praised and has received positive reviews due to its actors' acting chops, its story and the TV series' excellent visuals. The popular TV series has also ranked as the most-watched 1st season among all the HBO Original TV series.

The excellent reception of the TV series has caused tremendous pressure for HBO and the show's producers to immediately come up with a second season. However, the Westworld's producers do not want to give in to the pressure and will reportedly take their time in making the show's second season.

One of the popular western thriller's main characters, Luke Hemsworth, who plays Westworld's head of security Ashley Stubbs, has just said in a recent interview with the Independent that the show may take a break this 2017 and will release its second season in 2018.

Hemsworth discussed that the reason why the TV series won't be seen until 2018 is that the show's creators would like to try and get everything right with the show's second season. He further discussed that the show's creators would want to have a clear plan before they proceed with the second season, unlike in the first season where 'they are under the cosh the whole time'.

Also, Hemsworth revealed that even the actors of the TV series are placed in a loop at times just like when they were made unaware of the exciting twist in the first season's finale.

The finale of the first season had already teased that the second season will have a Samurai World theme.

The TV series is based on a 1973 movie which was written and directed by Michael Crichton and had the same title.
