Snap Inc's Snapchat has gotten a few major deals from big companies this past year. The latest to join is The Walt Disney Company's U.S. Television arm. Disney announced on Wednesday, December 21, that it will start making videos for Snapchat.

The financial terms were not disclosed, writes Reuters. Nonetheless, Disney's deal with the company is unlike what Snap has with others. Reports say that studio will be responsible for selling and advertising the shows it does for Snapchat.

Over the past months, the social media platform entered a deal with Viacom, Time Warner Inc's Turner Broadcasting System and Comcast's NBCUniversal. Apparently, Snap partnered with Disney to reach the younger market that it is aiming for.

It is no surprise that social media platforms and traditional media are working together. Since the younger generation nowadays does not look at television the same way as the elder generations did, traditional media has begun working its way to the Internet.

Disney and Snap have already worked before. It can be remembered that Snapchat worked with Disney's ABC network for The Oscars Live Story in February 2016, as reported by Slash Gear. The partnership was reported to have been successful with ABC Television Group's John Frelinghuysen saying that Disney was looking forward to building a stronger relationship. It seems that the time has come.

Apart from the ABC network, Snapchat will also be working with Freeform, a cable channel. The popular series "The Bachelor" is said to be included in the agreement between the two companies. According to reports, Snapchat users will be able to see a story based on the TV show. Future shows haven't been announced yet and are expected to roll out soon.
