"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is expected to released on Jan. 24, 2017 on Xbox One, PS4, PS VR and PC. Latest reports suggest that a popular character could be returning to the game. Dataminers on Reddit have looked into the "Resident Evil 7" Beginning Hour demo and resulting files have hinted at the return of a familiar character. The demo is on PC now. The dataminers believe Albert Wesker is returning to the game.

According to Eurogamer, the recurring antagonist of the series is never mentioned by his surname. However, there are quite a few file names that have the name "Albert." Even though this could be some other Albert and not Wesker, it would be a bit weird for Capcom to keep the same name for another character in "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" and not choose anything else.

A NeoGAF user, who goes by the name Jawmuncher, has created a list of file names with the name "Albert" in it. It's not true that each and every point in the list will make it to the final game and many of the file names could be misleading. Players who want to speculate what the game "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be like, now has plenty to stuff to work on, thanks to the dataminers.

One of the files is named "LastBossGetAlbert" while another reads "LastBossFinishGetGun." The first suggest what role the characters will play in the campaign and the other hints at the unlockable reward for beating them in "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." As per Game Rant, the list of weapons found in the datamine such as knife, chainsaw, grenade launcher and shotgun do line up with what has been confirmed so far by the ESRB ratings board's unintentional leak.
