"Friday the 13th: The Game" is creating a lot of hype, especially with the beta version made available to players. The game is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The big question that is being avidly discussed in various online forums is whether it is possible to kill or defeat the series' mainstay slasher Jason Voorhees. Players need to know if camp counselor characters can kill Jason.

According to Game Rant, "Friday the 13th: The Game" beta version players have discovered that it is indeed possible to kill or defeat Jason when playing as camp counselor characters of the survival-horror title. The hands-on preview of the multiplayer has allowed players try their hand (also luck) at the already-popular game. They are trying their best to explore every aspect of the beta version and also discover every game secret.

A Redditor, who goes by the name "johno619," listed down all possible attempts for taking down Jason. He kept others posted about his advancements in the "Friday the 13th: The Game's" subreddit. He has not yet been able to defeat Jason. The Redditor apparently received a message from an anonymous developer claiming that Jason can indeed be defeated but not killed entirely.

Despite a number of attempts by fans, Jason still remains undefeated and none of the Redditor's methods have worked so far. Even Tommy Jarvis, the first protagonist who actually defeated Jason in the movies, couldn't kill him. Developers at Gun Media and Illfonic have been totally tight-lipped about this whole thing. Hence, it is up to "Friday the 13th: The Game" players to find out the truth.
