"Doctor Who Christmas Special" has become a tradition for geeks all over the world. But this time, the hit show will be giving an extra oomph to the holiday show. In the episode, The Return of Doctor Mysterio," fans will be treated about what The Doctor's best - time travels, aliens and help from someone who could make this year "Super."

In its preview, "Doctor Who" looks to getting some help from a caped crusader. In previous years, Doctors have bade their goodbye while various new additions come. At one point, Santa saved the day - and so, this year, fans are expecting a different kind of something new.

The Return of Doctor Mysterio Revealed! In this year's holiday special, the episode will revolve around a child who got inspired by The Doctor, to become a hero himself. Like the traditional superhero movies, Grant does not want anyone to know about his alter ego, The Ghost, who uses his time saving people. The tricky part comes when he becomes captive of his own doings, trapped in a love triangle between him, The Ghost and his one true love.

'Doctor Who' Super Christmas Special Schedule and Play Dates. "The Return of Doctor Mysterio" will be played in theaters nationwide on December 27th and December 29th. Tickets are sold via FathomEvents. The said run will feature an hour-long special and two bonus shows - "The Doctor: A New Kind of Hero" and "Doctor Who" Christmas Extra. Both episodes feature different stories on why The Doctor is a hero and the making of "The Return of Doctor Mysterio." In these three episodes, fans can expect special appearances from Peter Capaldi, Matt Lucas and the director of the show, Steven Moffat. It will be shown in 400 theaters across America.

"Doctor Who" is gearing towards a banging Season 10 debut on Spring 2017, being the last season of Moffat as their showrunner.
