Although considered one of Hollywood's hottest couples (literally), Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are notoriously private when it comes to their children, having kept them far, far away from the spotlight and the prying eyes of paparazzi since their births. Hence the pleasant shock -- and subsequent excitement - the world got when the two kids finally made their first public debut last Thursday, during Reynolds Hollywood Walk of Fame.
This picture-perfect family won the adoration of millions of fans when the ever-gorgeous Lively and her equally-as-devastating partner Reynolds stepped onto the carpet each with a child in their arms. Their two-year-old toddler, James, was hard to miss, what with a full head of beautiful, golden curls. Their newborn daughter, whose name the couple has yet to share with the world - according to USA Today - was content to quietly be carried around.
When the microphone reached him, E! News reports that Reynolds was quick to acknowledge his family, instantly thanking Blake for her support. "You make everything better," the actor said. "Absolutely everything in my life better. You've given us two of the most incredible children that I could ever hope to have." His signature sense of humor shone through towards the end, as the Deadpool star capped off that part of his speech with, "You've made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had fun uncle potential."
Photos from the event show Blake Lively, who is a vision in a flowing blue dress and heels, holding her toddler James on the side as both mother and daughter cheer Reynolds on. After the acceptance speech, the family had an impromptu heart-melting photo op, where it was Reynolds' turn to hoist an enthusiastic James on his hip while Lively cradled their second daughter.
Being professional actors, both Reynolds and Lively have busy schedules, flying to different events in different countries. It's a common problem most Hollywood couples' face. But from what we're seeing of this proud, adorable family, the two seem to be handling it just fine.
