There is understandably a huge anticipation for Nintendo's upcoming game console, the Nintendo Switch. However, fans of the company's systems will only have to wait for a little while before they can get their hands on the new console.
Nintendo has announced that they are giving fans a chance to actually try out the console before its scheduled release in March, bringing it around the country via the 2017 Nintendo Switch console tour.
The company has revealed that it will begin the tour around the United States and Canada on Jan. 13, 2017, a day after the console's features and hardware specifications will be officially announced. Nintendo revealed that it will showcase the new console in six cities, lasting for three days in each city. The first two days will be an invite-only affair, with the third day being open to the public.
Here are the cities that Nintendo will be visiting for its Switch console tour, along with their respective dates:
New York - January 13th-15th
Toronto - January 27th-29th
Washington, DC - February 10th-12th
Chicago - February 17th-19th
San Francisco - February 24th-26th
Los Angeles - March 3rd-5th
The public at large will also be able to try out the new console during the final day of each tour leg, which is why Nintendo is advising people to come as early as possible. The final day will apparently be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The spaces that the company has requisitioned for the events are reportedly very limited, so those who want to try out the console before anyone else have to be at the venue relatively early.
The company hasn't really outlined what games they will be letting fans try out, but reports are speculating that it would most likely be the company's latest open world action-adventure video game: "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild". Nintendo however, did mention that they will be showcasing more than one game throughout the tour.
