Apple's latest mobile operating system, iOS 10, is currently on its fifth update. The immediate releasing of updates simply indicates that the company is working hard to resolve all underlying issues that have been plaguing the OS for quite sometime now.
However, iOS 10.2 seems to have been quite a disappointment for most users as it still failed to resolve some issues that users have been complaining about since iOS 10.0.1. While the new update does contain a myriad of new additions, including the new TV app that replaced the Videos app and over a hundred new emojis, the update itself still does not contain any fixes on its battery glitch and EarPod glitch that users have been experiencing.
The battery glitch, referred to as the "30% bug", is causing serious usability issues with iOS 10-compatible iPhones. This bug was also reported by hundreds of users in Apple's Support Community forum, with majority experiencing the same relative problems.
Users reported that their phones suddenly turn off, even when they have around 30 percent of charge remaining. The company has already acknowledged this problem, but denies the bug affecting other models --- except for the iPhone 6S, where the issue was first detected. Some users have also reported that the new update actually worsened the situation; they are now getting random drops in battery charge percentages, with others even getting stuck at a certain level before their phone dies.
As for the EarPod glitch, some users are experiencing malfunctions on their EarPods' microphone during calls --- despite having already updated to iOS 10.2. Other users however, determined that the problem is more of a software issue. The problem has already been reported by a significant number of users since September, but it seems like Apple has yet to find a permanent fix for it.
