CyanogenMod 14.1 nightly builds with Android Nougat 7.1, which was reported in November, has included a cluster of new phones to its list. The name includes Galaxy S3 (i9300), Galaxy S3 VERIZON, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Xiaomi Mi Max.
Steve Kondik of CyanogenMod had before said that a couple of elements may miss from the custom ROM CM14.1 (like Themes) as the advancement is still in progress. He had put out a rundown of gadgets that were ready for the update in the first stage. These were the phones in the list: Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Xiaomi Mi3/Mi4, LG G3, Moto G variations (2013-2015), LG G4, Samsung Galaxy S5 and OnePlus 3. The ROMs are to be downloaded from the CyanogenMod site.
Introducing this ROM will remove the existing OS on your smartphone, and supplant it with CyanogenMod 14.1 running on Android Nougat 7.1 CM14.1 is essentially similar to stock Android, and carries with it more customization options.
CyanogenMod 14.1 will be in the long term accessible for phones that will get the Android Nougat update late or not in any manner.
The ROM can be flashed on your gadget by basically unlocking the bootloader. First go to Settings, then About telephone and continue tapping Build number until you get the Developer options in settings. Next, switch on the OEM feature. Additionally, turn on the USB Debugging option in Developer mode.
You can read the tutorial on how to flash a custom ROM on Android on XDA Developers.
Do take note of that flashing the smartphone can mean that you may lose your product warranty. Keep in mind to check the model number of your device before you begin the procedure.
The list of smartphones that are supporting the CM 14.1 ROM is continually developing, and you can have a look at it on the official blog. Android has a unique personality on its stock version.
CyanogenMod is something more than the stock version - it looks similar, but can be customized to a great deal.
