With Steam's recently started Steam Awards nomination, the game "Half-Life 2" is getting some serious amounts of nominations for the "Game That Deserves Sequel" award, paving an even wider path for the highly requested sequel "Half-Life 3."

PC Gamers, particularly those who have been a long-time customers of Steam, are serious about pushing the game "Half-Life 3" from happening. With this year's awarding system, since no restrictions are put, it is, but a clear indication that "Half-Life 2" does, indeed, require the much needed sequel that fans always talked about in about a decade already.

In a recent post via GameRevolution, a screenshot image containing a screenshot about "Half-Life 2" being nominated to such award shows that the fans really want "Half-Life 3" so bad. This is a smart move from the fans' end as this brings a whole lot of attention to the almost 10 years now.

"Half-Life 2" was originally released in 2007 and was divisded in three episodes. Still, the final episode felt a bit lacking in a sense that it was a cliffhanger that demands a sequel to wrap things up.

The award category is also created thru the Steam Awards custom nomation. It is under "We Didn't Think of Everything" award, where users are allowed to provide their own ideas on how to highlight a game and give it the attention and praise that it deserves.

The fact that Valve isn't quite ready to dish out "Half-Life 3" is no stranger to its fans, though this little campaign might be one good push in making the game see the light of the day. That is if Valve deems the Steam Store sales needing for some extra oomph or of "Counter Strike: Global Offensive" starts to feel lacking.

Stay tuned for more news on "Half-Life 3" as we wait and see how this movement tries to convince Valve in giving the fans what they dearly ask for.
