The latest speculations about the upcoming Apple iPad Mini 5 suggested that the release date of the device has been postponed to March 2017 when it will be released at the company's technical event. Few reports hinted that the Cupertino-based technology giant is expected to follow its device launch pattern similar to previous years and thus, the release date of the iPad Mini 5 happening early next year is considered to be high as of now.

With all the release date rumors, PC Advisor reported that the iPad Mini 5 will feature many excellent specs like Retina display, new chassis, outstanding touch technology and much more onboard. Reports claimed that the device will sport the posh new stylus Apple Pencil along with the USB Type-C port for fast data transfer provision to the users. Apple is also expected to ditch the headphone port on the iPad Mini 5.

To add on to that the Apple device is expected to sport the 3D Touch technology, which will provide the users with a pressure-sensitive touch screen and the Retina display panel. Furthermore, rumors hinted that the iPad Mini 5 will feature the Series 7000 aluminum chassis, which is touted to make the device more durable. Besides, it is stated that the fifth installment in the iPad Mini-series will consist of a lighter body panel as compared to its predecessors and is expected to be a waterproof and dust-resistant gadget.

As far as the performance-related specs are concerned, the iPad Mini 5 is touted to consist of the A9 processor along with M9 co-motion chipset. It is also expected to sport a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage onboard. In terms of software specs, the upcoming iPad Mini installment is rumored to run on the latest iOS 10.

Also, few rumors stated that the iPad Mini 5 might include a battery capacity of more than 5,124 mAh. On the other hand, it is expected that the new Apple device might be priced at around $412 USD to $750 USD depending on its variants.
