If there's anything rare about "Pokémon Sun and Moon," the quickest thing that will come into mind will be the shiny ones. Here's a simple guide on how to acquired them a bit easier and also a tip on how to lose the game's save file due to a devastating glitch.

There might be numerous methods on acquiring a shiny pokémon in "Pokémon Sun and Moon," and some even involves taking advantage of a glitch or worse, through cheating. However, we wouldn't encourage that as it would only cause a serious ban not just from the game, but from eShop entirely.

Kotaku's guide of hunting for a shiny is a simple, yet somewhat long process. However, we've tested this ourselves and with sheer luck, hunting could be finished in mere minutes.

The method simply involves preparing tons of revive items and restoration for PP and most importantly, the Adrenaline Orb. Now the player simply needs to look for any particular pokémon that they would like to capture in shiny form.

Once in battle, using the Adrenaline Orb is a must as this will trigger the opposing pokémon to call for help. The task is to NOT kill the enemy pokémon and wait for it to get help from a shiny one.

One good strategy in going over this is to get a pokémon that knows the move "False Swipe." This prevents any target from fainting when attacked with it. The strategy varies for each pokémon though as a rule of thumb, keep your own pokémon's PP as high as possible.

Another method of getting a Shiny pokémon is by getting it as a starter pokémon, though this is harder as it relies solely on randomized results. This simply involves soft resetting the game and for those feeling lucky, it is worth a shot just as well, though not as controlled with the already complicated chaining approach.
